Arcadian Shores
Designed to be a more modern golf layout, Arcadian Shores is currently undergoing a bit of a renovation that will be concluded in the spring of 2014. 1,500 trees have been removed allowing for a more open layout. The new design will bring the course backs to its historical roots as one of Myrtle Beach’s best layouts. At 6,857 yards, this course also doubles as one of the longest courses in Myrtle Beach. Recently, “The Sun News” ranked Arcadian Shores #2 and #13 holes as a part of their “Dream 18” for the best 18 holes in Myrtle Beach.
Caledonia
Beautifully designed, Caledonia embodies the spirit of Myrtle Beach golf in numerous ways. Their waterway holes are simply masterpieces and the course itself may be on the most well-groomed courses in the entire state. Caledonia is home to one of the most fun finishing holes as well with their separated green. The Par four 18th only plays at 383 yards from the back tees but every player will have to layup in order to position their 2nd shot correctly as they take aim at a green that sits on the complete opposite side of the waterway.

Long Bay Club
Designed of Jack Nicklaus, Long Bay is highly regarded of one of his best designs in the entire state of South Carolina. What sets this course apart is its sprawling bunkers that line several fairways and numerous pot bunkers, which adds a bit of Scottish flair to an otherwise American course. The 10th hole has recently become the signature hole of this pristine course. Although it’s lacking in distance, the deep bunkers that run parallel to the fairway on both sides really strike fear in player’s eyes as they sit on the back tee box. Overall, Long Bay is a fantastic addition to any golf package or golf vacation in Myrtle Beach.

Myrtlewood Palmetto
Lush, gently undulating fairways are easily one of the biggest pluses when playing Myrtlewood’s Palmetto course. Instead of placing difficult bunkers and hazards along the edge of the fairway, the Palmetto’s course is designed with a hacker’s game in mind. While this course does present its challenges, many of which take the form of water hazards scattered throughout the track, Palmetto is a well-kept and playable course.
